Piles of printed gradients with words and instructions in Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam
This work reflects on exchanges between language, bodies and space, approaching love as a set of relations, subject to constant movement and change.
The text on the work relates these multiple exchanges. Where language is approached fragmented and suggestive. In this performative installation the audience was invited to take the sheets, read the words aloud and activate the words and instructions, either in the space, or outside, alone or together.
Visitor reading and taking the papers
These words are to be read aloud – dance performance
Choreography and reading for 3 dancers.
The installation was activated by a performance as well as by smaller unannounced interventions taking place throughout the exhibition.
Dancers activate the installation, reflecting on movement and the human body in relation to the use of language. Language comes to existance in and with the physical body, where the embodiment, struggle, love and ambiquety of words are challenged throughout the performance.
